Introduction
Bathtub Vacuum Forming Machine is a manufacturing machine that makes a thermoplastic sheet into a whole bathtub by vacuum suction moulding process.
This also means that this machine needs to be wide enough in length as well as deep enough to vacuum form into a more comfortable bathtub size. Bathtub vacuum moulding technology is widely used in the manufacture of all types of bathtubs, including freestanding bathtubs, built-in bathtubs, Jacuzzi bathtubs and more.
Through the vacuum moulding process, bathtubs can be produced to meet different consumer needs and aesthetic preferences. These products pay more attention to the design as well as the material of the product, we can provide you with the design of the product mould and high quality plastic sheet.
Product Applications
The bathtub vacuum forming machine can not only produce bathtubs, but also oversized luggage, truck dashboards and interiors, large electronic equipment housings, crates, pallets and more. By choosing the right materials and designing the right moulds, the bathtub vacuum forming machine can be used to produce a wide range of products.

First of all, we need choose suitable plastic sheet, usually made of acrylic, ABS or other thermoplastic, here I recommend PMMA/ABS composite sheet, this material combines the good thermoplasticity of ABS as well as the scratch-resistant, water-resistant and glossy effect of acrylic, which is very suitable for bathroom products.
Heat the plastic sheet to the softening point, but not beyond its melting point in bathtub vacuum forming machine. This makes the plastic sheet easier to stretch and mould. Place the heated plastic sheet on a mould. We generally use a negative mould, usually a metal mould that is the opposite shape of the final product.
Close the mould and extract the air inside the mould by a vacuum pump so that the plastic sheet fits tightly on the surface of the mould. Keep the plastic sheet inside the mould for a certain period of time, the bathtub vacuum forming machine comes with a cooling device to cool it down and solidify it into the desired shape.
Finally, demould and take out the moulded tub for trimming. Remove the excess plastic edges and trim and sand the bathtub to a smooth surface. Thus a set of bathtubs is completed.
